After Canada, we drove down into New York State. We visited Lake Placid, Saratoga Springs, Albany, Corning and Buffalo. We also visited our friend Richard in North-Central Pennsylvania.
After Lake Placid, we drove to Saratoga Springs and stayed at a campsite there. We arrived at night, and woke up to find a beautiful spring-fed lake next to our site.
We saw this bird in Albany. I haven't been able to identify it in my bird books. Any ideas?
We drove down to Wellsboro, PA, to visit our friend Richard. We met for lunch at the Wellsboro Diner, an historical diner in town.
Richard buys fresh corn for dinner from a roadside stand. Payment is on the honor system.
This "canyon" is a big tourist destination. Biking, hiking and rafting are done in the canyon.
This scuplture at the Corning Museum of Glass is by Chiluly, the same artist who did the glass flowers at the Bellagio that we saw way back in April.
