Great Falls of Patterson
These falls are the second largest east of the Mississippi (or something like that.) The Pasaic River here was the driver of the first serious industrial boom in New England; the banks are lined with old factories and man-made canals that used the power of the water to drive machinery. Long neglected, there is now a restoration program under way.
