We visited Minnesota primarily so that we could visit some doctors and prosthetists for Fern. While there, we visited a dog breeder and the SPAM Museum, as well as other, less quirky, attractions.

Dog

Dog

While in Minnesota, we visited another Portuguese Water Dog breeder. Linda had many dogs, mostly grown up, and many of them are championship show dogs.

Here's another dog, probably Justine.

Brownie

Brownie

This is Brownie. She has hair that's between curly and wavy and has a somewhat unusual light brown color. She also needs a haircut.

A Bad Day Fishing is Better Than a Good Day Working, er, Retired

We took some time to fish at a campsite in southern Minnesota.

Fern's Fish

Fern's Fish

Not to be outdone, Fern caught a few fishies as well. All of these were extremely small and we spared their lives.

The SPAM Museum

The SPAM Museum

We couldn't resist a visit to the SPAM museum. Austin is the home of Hormel, the maker of SPAM and other fine meat and meat-like products.

The Hormel Store

The Hormel Store

In the SPAM Museum, they had a store with every Hormel product displayed.

The SPAM Game

The SPAM Game

Fern and I competed in the SPAM game, answering SPAM trivia questions. The museum was extremely well designed, with a strong SPAM sense of humor throughout. It was both educational and amusing.
