Most Bald Eagles are enjoying the summer where the climate is cooler. However, we spotted this nest on top of a hurricane-damaged sign. The birds add more to their nest every year; they can get as big as a king size bed (although bird experts are still trying to determine the eagles' preferred sleep number.)
On the way out of Florida, we stopped in the town of St. Augustine, the "oldest town in America". It is the site where Ponce de Leon thought he had finally located the mythical fountain of youth.
Around the corner from this spot, I had the best grilled chicken sandwich in the world.
