After Wyoming, we drove into Ft. Collins, CO. There, we visited with some friends and the Shambhala Mountain Center. After, we visited more friends in Broomfield, before heading south and then west. Our trip has lasted longer than we expected. Aside from the obvious, a nice additional benefit of this is that we're seeing the autumn colors in the mountains here. It is truly spectacular.
While near Ft. Collins, Colorado, we visited Jenny and Brent who live in this lovely home they built and designed themselves. The view is spectacular and we felt right at home. Thanks to Jenny and Brent for being wonderful hosts.
We visited the Shambhala Mountain Center. They have a lot of beautiful land in the mountains. This view shows the stupa (a buddhist spiritual monument), hidden among the trees, that they recently built.
Autumn has arrived and the fall colors are spectacular here. The aspen trees all turn bright yellow.
The birdbath in the backyard provided refreshment to many animals and birds, including this chipmonk.
In Broomfield, we visited Denise and her sons Ian and Dillon, and of course, their dog Rosco. Rosco is an Shibu Inu and looks somewhat like a fox.
We took Ian and Dillon out to the Fun Center. A fun time was had by all.
We drove through Colorado Springs and took this photo from near the Olympic Training Center. Joseph spent a few weeks there in college learning how to shoot things, and competing in matches where we shot things. Nothing living, just paper (which, I guess, used to be living, but was probably from recycled material anyway.)
